Brenna Sweeney

Brenna Sweeney of Pittsburgh, PA, began her dance training at the age of three.  She went on to pursue her intensive ballet training at the age of nine with Jean Gedeon at the Pittsburgh Youth Ballet Company.  She is a graduate of The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Ballet and BA in International Relations.  During her time at CCM, she enjoyed dancing roles in David Hochoy’s iconoGlass, George Balanchine’s Valse-Fantaisie, and soloist roles in Marius Petipa’s Sleeping Beauty and La Bayadère.  She also had the opportunity to perform in both The Nutcracker and Swan Lake with the Dayton Ballet as well as the unique opportunity to debut her own choreographic work, Montage, in the 2018 Choreographer’s Showcase.  Brenna is thrilled to be joining Columbus Dance Theatre for the 2018-2019 season!
