The School of Columbus Dance Theatre offers classes to boys and girls beginning at age 3. Starting with Creative Movement, young children can explore dance in a supportive, student-centered environment. For dancers age 10 and up who are interested in more intensive study, CDT has developed a professional training program affiliated with their nationally-recognized professional Company. CDT's intensive training program students have gone on to careers with professional Companies, gained acceptance to outstanding University programs, and have been accepted to the following Schools and Summer Intensive Programs:  The Juilliard Summer Intensive, ABT, The School of American Ballet, LINES Ballet, The Joffrey Summer Intensive, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Interlochen, The Chautauqua Summer Dance Institute, North Carolina Dance Theatre, Cincinnati Ballet, and Boston Ballet.

Whatever your student's interests and abilities, Columbus Dance Theatre prides itself on providing a personalized approach to the study of dance that suits the needs and preferences of the young dancer.

At Columbus Dance Theatre, we value all our employees, students, families, and job candidates as unique individuals.  We welcome the variety of experiences that everyone brings to our organization and we are committed to building and maintaining a organization that reflects human diversity and equal opportunities. Columbus Dance Theatre does not discriminate against any employee, student, family, or job candidate based on age, race, disability, gender identification, sexual orientation, ancestry, ethnicity, marital status, citizenship, pregnancy, or any other characteristic for other discriminatory reasons.
