What brought you here?

The advanced training & emphasis on ballet technique.

What is your favorite ballet step?

I love anything arabesque. Soute arabesque, sissone, tour jete, pique arabesque, etc.

What is your least favorite ballet step?

There isn’t really a specific ballet step that I dislike however, petit allegro in the center is usually my least favorite part of class.


Outside of dance, what are your hobbies?

Outside of dance, I do a lot of hiking, reading, listening to/discovering music, and journaling.

What is the worst job you’ve ever had?

A food production factory. It was definitely not my cup of tea.

What is the first career you dreamed of having as a kid?

My dad was a firefighter/EMT and I remember wanting to be one just like him.

What is one thing you wish you were better at?

I wish I was better at picking up fast footwork.

Amanda Howard

Amanda Howard started dancing when she was 2 ½ years old. After years of training in different styles, she became a part of the competition team at Inspire Dance and Tumble and then at Pinnell Dance Centre. In 2019, during Dance Masters of America’s Student Honors Intensive Program, she fell in love with ballet and contemporary. In 2023, her senior year of competition, she received a Crystal award at Showstoppers Nationals with a co-choreographed ballet solo. 

Amanda has been a student teacher & choreographer for years and in 2024, began teaching her own classes at Inspire Dance and Tumble. She is a member of the Columbus Modern Dance Company, having her first professional choreography showcased at their Fall 2024 show. She has been a part of numerous residencies with choreographers such as CJ Burroughs, Lauren Adams, Marlayna Locklear & more. 

Amanda is excited to be a trainee and spend countless hours continuing her dance education!
