What brought you here?
I left where I was currently dancing and didn’t know where to go . I had always seen the studio in passing so I thought why not reach out!

What is your favorite ballet step?
Anything with a high leg!

What is your least favorite ballet step?
Grand plies

Outside of dance, what are your hobbies?
Cycling, working out, fashion, photography.

What animal would you be and why?
A dog because they get pampered all day.

Capezio / Bloch

What is your favorite random fact?
Joseph Pilates was alledgy so strong that he climbed the beams in his apartment building to escape a fire.

What is the first career you dreamed of having as a kid?
A fire fighter

What is one thing you wish you were better at?
Staying asleep

Loud chewers

Ellington Hoffman

Ellington Hoffman began his dance training at age 11 at Allstars Performing Arts Academy in Suwanee, Georgia. There, he trained in a diverse array of styles including hip hop, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, clogging, tap, Irish, ballet, musical theater, and ballroom. He later joined Sugarloaf Performing Arts and subsequently pursued his passion for ballet at Buford School of Ballet.

Ellington continued his training at Hilton Head Dance Theater and was offered a trainee position at BalletMet, where he trained for two and a half years. Throughout his dance journey, Ellington has choreographed numerous pieces, guest performed, and taught various classes.

Ellington is thrilled to be returning to Columbus Dance Theatre for the 2025-26 season as a Company member and instructor in the Young Children’s Division!
