Gaby Brito

Gabriela (Gaby) Brito is a dancer, educator, and choreographer from Columbus, Ohio. Her dance journey began learning Latine social dances such as bachata and merengue from family and friends in her childhood home. At age eight, she began training at Columbus Dance Theatre where she learned ballet, contemporary, modern, and jazz. She recently graduated from The Ohio State University with BFA in Dance and a BA in Psychology. During her time at Ohio State, Gabriela had the opportunity to perform for a variety of artists including Alfonso Cervera, Abby Zbikowski, Momar Ndiaye, and Lucy Dillon. She also had the opportunity to deepen her contemporary movement practice while studying abroad in Denmark and Germany. She was a community artist with Whirlwind Contemporary Dance Company Season Three performing in works by Joshua Manculich and Morgan Sandlin as well as creating original works. She currently teaches ballet at the Chiller Easton and is excited to start teaching at Columbus Dance Theatre!
